The reference 4.0 is a true state of the art mono power amplifier. The latest in UCD class D technology forms the engine of this amplifier. This ground breaking technolgy ensures that all the power and more of conventional class A/B amplifiers is delivered but at the same time itʼs highly efficient. Even at full power the amplifiers are still cool to the touch.

Reference 4.0

• State of the art UCD technology
• 400 watts into 4 ohms RMS
• Load independent flat frequency response
• Very low frequency independent THD
• Low output impedance
• Balanced or single ended inputs
• High performance linear power supply
• Discrete low voltage regulators
• Precision CNC milled chassis
• Silver / Gold wiring used for signal transfer

What's inside

Precision CNC milled chassis

To provide the high levels of clean power required a beefy overspecified toroidal transformer is used followed by a state of the art power supply featuring high quality four pole capacitors as well as discrete power regulators. In addition, the amplifier is wired with solid core silver/gold wiring to preserve all the low level detail presented at the input. Even though the amplifier is a true balanced design you can specify either RCA inputs or the standard XLR inputs at the time of ordering.

What's outside

Only half the size of a typical hifi component

True balanced design, available in RCA and XLR versions

Muscular, yet delicate and neutral, the reference 4.0 is able to drive the most difficult loudspeakers with ease and finesse.

To our customers: the Tentlabs Remote Controlled Volume Control will be available in 2 months. In the meantime we use the Plinius M8 as pre-amp. The photo's are as-is: we didn't remove the cables from our composition. These components deserve good cabling such as the TPD Reference Quest.
